This was a purchased as a gift for my ten year old son. He loves building and be creative especially when it comes to video games. So I decided to get this to give him a hands on experience. He was able to do the different experiments with assistance. It was fun to watch him get excited when something worked the way he expected. I was also neat to see him contemplate why the experiment did not work as expected. For the price and what is included in the kit I would highly recommend this product. You will have a child who is excited to learn and they will not even know it is educational.

This was my 4th grade homeschooled granddaughter's first independent science project. She followed the instructions and completed it on her own. She was pleased. I was pleased. There are additional projects that can be done. I think it was a little too simple for 4th grade, however since she did the entire thing independently, I give it a big plus.

I used it for a 4-H workshop with 4-6th grade kids, who all had fun. We ran out of time before we could use all the different stuff you can do with this kit, but the stuff we did use was tons of fun. Nothing high-powered, but it showed the kids stuff about alternative energy sources.

This is a great toy for school science projects. The copper and tin rods are very thin and fragile, but they do work. Again, I only recommend it for science projects.
